125 million EUR to be Invested in ‘Industrial park Sofia – East’
125 million EUR will be the cost of one of the biggest investment projects for the year - ‘Industrial park Sofia - East', Alexander Gebov announced, director of ‘Paladin Property Development'. ‘Industrial park Sofia - East' is the first large scaled industrial and logistic project for Sofia area and is expected to be finished in 4 years. The director of the association for bird protection Irina Mateeva stated that investments in wind parks in Bulgaria is quite risky, because the ecology damages caused by the wind powers is still not determined. Switzerland Grands 161 M EUR to EU's Poorest States Bulgaria and Romania
The Switzerland government intends to support the European Union expansion and in particular the new EU members of Bulgaria and Romania. Mittal Family to Construct 2 Nuclear Complexes in Romania
Iberdrola SA said it is part of a consortium with six European companies to construct and run two nuclear complexes of 750 Megawatts each in Romania. Separately, Romanian authorities said total investment on the project will be around 2.2 bln eur. In a statement, Iberdrola said it will have "at least 10 pct" of the project, in which the Romanian state run Nuclearelectrica, Italy's Enel, Germany's RWE, Suez's Belgian unit Electrabel, Czech CEZ and the Pan-European ArcelorMittal also hold stakes. още »

State Preassure on Kremikovtzi Mill Increases
State-owned creditors of Bulgaria's biggest steel mill Kremikovtzi have started to gradually phase down deliveries of raw materials and services to the plant in retaliation for payment delays. The steelworks has paid about 70 per cent of the amount it owes to Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ), but it still has a debt of about 17 million leva, prompting BDZ to halt cargo deliveries to Kremikovtzi in mid-February. още »

Bulgaria's Budget Surplus in January is 0.7%
Bulgaria's consolidated budget surplus by the end of January goes to 440,4 million BGN (220 million EUR). The sum is almost five times higher compared to the beginning of 2007, shows data of the Financial Ministry.Lat year Bulgaria had marked a budget surplus of 3,8% from the prognosticated GDP.The government expressed desire to reach a surplus over 3% of GDP in 2008. още »

Bulgaria Exported 32 Million Liters of Wine for EU in 2007
Bulgaria had exported 32 million liters of wine for EU state-members until November 2007. It is expected that the total quantity for last year to reach 35 million liters of wine.In Russia has been sold 81 million liters of Bulgarian wine for 2007.
