More Irish Tourists in Bulgaria This Year

90, 000 tourists from Ireland had arrived last year in Bulgaria and their amount I expected to double during this tourist season. That was announced by the Irish ambassador Jeffrey Keating by his visit in Varna. Bulgaria and Ireland have very good opportunities for academic exchange; in this connection the ambassador will meet in Varna the directions of Economical and Medicine Universities to achieve concrete contracts. още »

Switzerland to Stimulate Bulgarian Economics Development

Switzerland will assure the resources to maintain the Bulgarian economics' development in order to harmonize faster with the European, the Swiss ambassador for Bulgaria Thomas Feller announced in Varna, on a Swiss - Bulgarian economical forum. Bulgaria With the Cheapest Electricity in Europe

The most expensive electricity in the European Union is paid by the Denmark's households - 24,5 EUR for 100 kWh. The cheapest is in Bulgaria - only 6,80 EUR, was announced by Eurostat.After Denmark the most expensive electricity is in Italy - 23,4 EUR, in the Netherlands - 21,80 EUR and in Germany - 19,4 EUR per 100 kWh.Electricity price under 10 EUR is also in the three Baltic countries - Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. още »

Bulgarian Inflation Quickened in March on Fuel, Food

Bulgaria's inflation rate rose to the highest in more than 10 years last month as higher fuel costs pushed up prices for food and services. The rate rose to 14.2 percent from a 10-year high of 13.2 percent in February, the National Statistics Institute said in a statement today. Consumer prices gained a monthly 0.8 percent after a 1.1 percent increase in February. още »

14.2% Annual Inflation in Bulgaria

Bulgaria's annual inflation is up to 14.2% in March compared to 13.2% the previous month. The reason was provoked mainly from high food prices, says statistical data announced on Monday.The consumer prices increased to 0.8% m/m in March from 1.1% in February.IMF sees inflation dropping to 7% by the end of the year, hoping that grain crops will increase from last year's drought-hit levels, avoiding renewed food price hikes, commented from Reuters. още »

Austrian 'Baumax' Steps Bulgarian Market

Austrian ‘Baumax' opens on Monday, April 14 its first supermarket for construction materials in Bulgaria's city of Plovdiv. Second local outlet will be opened in Stara Zagora next week.Each one of the stores is on the amount of 10 million EUR.
