Cartel Arrangements in the Bakery Business
The Commission for Consumer Protection fined 3 baker's and confectioner's associations for setting prices of the products offered and limiting the market competition. The Commission has started a legal procedure in July 2007 in connection to the numerous messages in the media about a huge bread price increase.After an investigation it has been determined that the associations play an active role in the formation of price expectations and forecasts on the bakery market in Bulgaria, the Commission specifies. още »

Strict eco requirements in the construction of Burgas-Alexandrupolis
The necessary requirements for protection of the environment will be met in the construction of the pipeline Burgas-Alexandroupolis. 10.9% inflation in October
The inflation in Bulgaria in October is 10.9% on an annual basis, informed the National statistic institute.In the period January – October 2008 compared to the same period last year the inflation reached 13.2%.The index of the consumer prices for October 2008 compared to September 2008 is 100.5% and the inflation is 0.5%. Approved OPAC projects amount to nearly 78 million levs
The total amount of the approved projects for financing on the Operative programme "Administrative capacity" (OPAC) from Sofia and the region is 77 972 241,05 levs. This was announced by the Ministry of state administration. 18 246 000 of them have been transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries. "Bulgartabac" with 65% market share

Bulgaria loses 75 M EUR from smuggled cigarettes

The value of assets in pension funds decreases
The assets of universal and voluntary pension funds, in which over 3,5 million Bulgarians make installments, have decreased in value as a result of the financial crisis. Bulgaria to receive 107M EUR under FP "Fishery"

Fitch lowered Bulgaria's rating
The agency for credit rating Fitch decreased the long-term rating in Bulgarian currency of Bulgarian state debt to “BBB-” with a stable perspective from “BBB” with negative perspective.
