Foreign investment in Bulgaria has decreased by 1 billion Euro
Direct foreign investment in Bulgaria decreases. For the first 9 months direct investment covers 68% of the deficit on the current account - for January - in September 2007 this part is 120.9%.In real money, direct foreign investment in Bulgaria up to now in 2008 is 3659.8 million Euro (10.8% of GDP), given 4715.2 million Euro (16.3% of GDP) for the same period in 2007. още »

The crisis causes lay-offs in a Razgrad piston factory
Because of the world financial crisis, workers are being laid off in a Razgrad firm, money is being saved from electricity and business trips abroad, and there would be no Christmas salaries. Kraft Foods transfers production from Romania to Bulgaria
The American food company Kraft Foods decided to transfer its production from the Romanian town of Brasov to Bulgaria by the end of 2009 aiming at increase of the production capacity. The chief executive director of Kraft Foods Romania commented: the strong development in Romania in the last year led to the necessity for additional production.
