Equest Sells Hotel “Serdika” in Sofia
Equest Balkan Properties plans to sell the former hotel “Serdika” to Uniqa Real Estateq, informed sgrada.com.The idea to transform the hotel into an office center with trade areas is expected to be preserved. Uniqa Real Estate have already made an advance payment. 66,5 Million for Small and Medium Business
Gratuitous financial aid for the amount of 65 million levs will be given to small and medium business, the Economy Ministry announced. The first contracts with beneficiaries of this aid were signed today.Up to now 115 contracts for the amount of 40 315 129 levs have been signed according to the procedure "Technological modernization in companies".177 contracts have been signed on the procedure "Covering of internationally accepted standards" for gratuitous financial aid for a total of 8 068 994 levs. още »

The Bulgarian Bank System is Stable
Over 81% of Bulgarian banks are a property of stable European treasuries, who have no direct investments in the mortgage market in the USA and have not incurred losses. This was announced by the manager of Bulgarian National Bank Ivan Iskrov.According to him the mother-banks have continued to give financial resources to their Bulgarian branches. Unemployment in Bulgaria Decreases
Unemployment in Bulgaria decreased to 5.8% in August, the Employment Agency announced. In July the level of unemployment was 5.9%.The Social Minister Emilia Maslarova said that in 2009 the level of unemployment will be 5.6%.The Bulgarian government set a goal that unemployment to be lower than 7% in 2008. SOFIX and BG-40 Collapsed
The trade at the Bulgarian stock exchange on Thursday started discouragingly. After the initial decrease the indexes regenerated a little. Despite that SOFIX remains a step away from the 800 points, BG-40 is under 200 points. BGTR30 and BGREIT are also decreasing. Bulgaria Takes 68th Place on Economic Freedom
Bulgaria takes the 68th place in the world on economic freedom. This is according to data from the yearly report of the Canadian institute "Fraser" for 2008, distributed in Bulgaria by the Institute for market economy. Shock Price Increase of Electricity Awaits Bulgaria
A shock increase of the price of electricity will be a fact after the elections next year. This was forecasted by the Chair of the Association of the producers of ecological energy Velizar Kiriyakov. According to him the increase will be somewhere around 10-15%. In Europe only Russia and Ukraine will sustain lower prices of electricity, but Bulgaria has no option to buy from them, Kiriyakov pointed out. още »
