Waste Treatment Plant Opens in Sofia
A plant for waste treatment was open today in the Sofia district of “Filipovtzi”. ECOBULPACK, an organisation which uses the packages wastes has invested more than 5 million euro in the plant's establishment. The enterprise has been built in 10 months.Over 200 new workplaces will be opened for the service of the plant's production process.There are two installations on this territory – for glass assortment and recycling and an installation for paper and plastics assortment and baling. още »

Bulgaria Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With VoestAlpine
The Bulgarian government will sign a Memorandum of understanding with the Austrian metallurgy giant “VoestAlpine” on 8 September. This announced the Bulgarian minister of economy and energy Peter Dimitrov. 60% of Bulgarians in Spain Do Not Work in Their Professional Field
Almost 60% of Bulgarians in Spain do not work in their field of expertise. These are the results from a study of the social ministry on the dispositions of Bulgarian immigrants in Spain to go back to their place of birth.28% say that they would go back to work in Bulgaria if their salary is 1500 levs.Half of the participants in the survey have an undergraduate level education, but work low qualification positions, BNR (Bulgarian National Radio) announces. още »

370 000 Second Hand Cars to be Purchased in Bulgaria in 2008
Bulgarian citizens will purchase around 370 000 used cars by the end of the year. This is a prognosis of the Association of automobile producers and their authorized dealers in Bulgaria. "118 119 second hand cars have been purchased in the first six months of the year", the executive director of the Association Stefan Hadjinikolov announced. The share of sales of such automobiles is 85% against 15% for new cars, BNES writes. още »

18.6% Increase of Production Prices of Foods for a Year
The index of the prices of the producers of foods and beverages in July decreases by 0,2%. Compared to the same period in 2007 the increase is by 18,6%, the National Statistics Institute reports.The Indexes of the producers' prices measure the average change of the prices of industrial products, produced and sold in Bulgarian companies. Bulgaria and Japan Sign A Loan Agreement
An agreement for loan will be signed today between Bulgaria and the Japanese bank for international cooperation in the Granite Hall of the Council of ministers building.The loan is for funding a project “Establishment and development of new container terminals at the harbours of Burgas and Varna”. Record Investments in Kotooshu's Village in Bulgaria
The village of Dzhulyunitsa in the region of Veliko Tarnovo, more famous as the birthplace of the Bulgarian Kaloyan Mahlyanov – popular in Japan as Kotooshu, has won several projects, which will bring the biggest amount of investments in the history of the place. This claimed the mayor of Dzhulyunitsa Yanko Yankov. Biggest Housing Price Increases in Kyustendil, Plovdiv and Smolyan
Plovdiv and Smolyan are in the top three on apartment price increase among the regional cities in the country, statistical data from the second quarter of the year shows. In Smolyan the prices of housing have increased by 12,7% compared to the previous three months of 2008. Only Kyustendil and Plovdiv, where the increase is respectively 14,9% and 13,2% are ahead of the Rhodope Mountain town, the territorial statistics bureau announces. още »
