Inflation Outpaces Income
According to statisticians in June the income of the average Bulgarian household is 689.36 levs. The average for a person in the household is 277,85 levs. In June 2007, however, things were much worse. The average Bulgarian household received 614.09 and the average for a person in the household was 243 levs.Consequently, the income of Bulgarian households has increased by 12. още »

Automobile Sales Up by 20% in 2008
According to data by the Association of automobile producers and their authorized dealers, over 35000 new automobiles have been sold in the first seven months of 2008. The new automobiles that have been sold in the internal Bulgarian marker for the period January-July 2008 are 32 844, new motor cycles - 488, new autobuses and trucks - 2651.For the same period in 2007 the total umber of new motor vehicles sold is 29 381, therefore on a yearly basis sales in Bulgaria have increased by over 20%. още »

Seaside Resorts Reduce Prices
At Golden Sands and Albena the price of rooms is about 10-15 Euro per person, "Narodno Delo" informs. Tourists, who have chosen to spend their holiday at a 3-star hotel in Albena must pay about 50 Euro per day for a single adult. At the end of May the prices announced for the active season were 10 Euro higher.At Sunny Beach bed and board costs between 25 and 30 Euro as the reduction is 5 Euro. още »

15% Increase of Salaries at "Mini Maritza-east"
Days before the miners' professional holiday - August 18, the Board of Directors of "Mini Maritza-east" EAD made the decision to increase the monthly salaries by an average of 15,5%. Bulgaria and Germany: Similar Prices, Different Salaries
The current price of kilowatt electro energy, supplied by one of the biggest companies in Germany MVV Energie is 3,75 Euro cents per kilowatt, which equals 7,3 stotinki. This was announced by MVV Energie. The German company works in the Munich region. In comparison the price of central heating in Sofia is 6,8 stotinki for kilowatt since July 1. Zhevago Pays Kremikovtzi's Debt
"Vorskla Steel Bulgaria" owned by the Ukrainian businessman Konstantin Zhevago started paying the debt of the metallurgical enterprise "Kremikovtzi". 3,5 million levs have been paid in the form of worker salaries for June.The company has started paying the financial obligations connected with the social compensations for food to more than 5000 workers, BNR (Bulgarian National Radio) announced. още »

Bulgarian Deficit on the Current Account 11,5% of GDP
The deficit on the current account for the period January-June 2008 amounts to EUR 3,785 billion, which is 11.5% of GDP. In the same period last year the deficit was EUR 2,885 billion or 10% of GDP, BNB (Bulgarian National Bank) data shows. A major factor for the increase of the deficit on the current account is the increased deficit on the trade balance by EUR 1,028 billion, BNB points out. още »
