Plovdiv International Fair Starts Today
The Bulgarian minister of economy and energy Peter Dimitrov will open today in Plovdiv the International fair of consumer goods and technologies.991 companies from 36 countries have registered for participation in the event, 668 of which are Bulgarian. Most of the foreign companies are from Italy, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Greece and Spain. The new participant countries are Ukraine, Norway, San Marino and Singapore. още »

Iraqi Debt to Bulgaria to Cover Trakia Highway
One part of Iraqi debt to Bulgaria will be allotted for the construction of the Trakia highway, the Premier Sergei Stanishev announced, quoted by The Standart. The Bulgarian Prime Minister attended on Tuesday the inspection of the already done sectors of Maritsa highway between Harmanli and Novo Selo.Premier Stanishev explains that the sum of $350 million, expected to be transferred from Iraq to Bulgaria by the end of June, presents considerable unplanned revenue to the budget. още »

Lakshmi Mittal Bags Brother's Bulgarian Steel Company
ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel maker, is understood to have emerged as the successful bidder for Bulgarian steel company Kremikovtzi. In a structured deal, ArcelorMittal is believed to have agreed to pay $1.2 billion for the Balkan country's largest steel mill. Burger King Open First Restaurants in Bulgaria
