German "Heinemann" Plans Investments in Bulgaria
One of the biggest operators of duty free trade in the world – the German “Heinemann” has serious investment intentions towards the Bulgarian market, writes “Pari” newspaper.The company has officially deposited its interest in a letter to the Bulgarian prime minister Sergei Stanishev. Serious Decrese in the Issued Construction Permisions
According to National Statistic Institute (NSI) during the first 3 months of 2008 in Bulgaria have been issued 2,267 construction permissions for the building of 11, 437 homes, with folded surface of 1, 584, 613 square meters. A significant decrease in the issuing of new buildings permission compared to previous period is observed. In compare, during the first 3 months of 2007 have been issued 3505. още »

7% Raise of Tourism Incomes in 2008
7-8% raise of incomes from tourism is expected for this year, the State Tourism Agency chairman Anelia Ktushkova announced. Krushkova is in the ‘St. St. Konstantin & Elena' resort for the official opening of the summer season. Merits of this conclusion give the registered to the moment vacations. Belgium Company 'Electrabel' to Build NPP 'Belene'
Bulgaria showed interest in strategic partnership with Belgian company ‘Electrabel' for the construction of NPP ‘Belene'. That was announced by Bulgarian Economics and Energy Minister Peter Dimitrov after a meeting with representatives of the Belgian company. Minister Dimitrov added that except as an investor in the NPP ‘Belene' project, ‘Electrabel' declared interest in participation in the hydro-energy project ‘Gorna Arda' on Arda River and projects on Danube river. още »

USA Invsted $600 Mln in Bulgaria for 18 Years - US Ambassador Beyrle
In the last 18 years the American Agency for international development had invested in Bulgaria round $600 million. Iraqi Debt to Bulgaria to Cover Trakia Highway
One part of Iraqi debt to Bulgaria will be allotted for the construction of the Trakia highway, the Premier Sergei Stanishev announced, quoted by The Standart. The Bulgarian Prime Minister attended on Tuesday the inspection of the already done sectors of Maritsa highway between Harmanli and Novo Selo.Premier Stanishev explains that the sum of $350 million, expected to be transferred from Iraq to Bulgaria by the end of June, presents considerable unplanned revenue to the budget. още »

Lakshmi Mittal Bags Brother's Bulgarian Steel Company
ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel maker, is understood to have emerged as the successful bidder for Bulgarian steel company Kremikovtzi. In a structured deal, ArcelorMittal is believed to have agreed to pay $1.2 billion for the Balkan country's largest steel mill. As part of its purchase commitment, ArcelorMittal has given a loan of $47 million to meet Kremikovtzi's immediate fund requirements. още »

Auto Service Centre of Toyota to Appear in Gabrovo Town
The authorised Toyota distributor for Gabrovo and Veliko Tarnovo regions (Central Northern Bulgaria) informed for intentions of investing 2,2 million EUR in a new auto service center in the city of Gabrovo. The complex, which is located in the Northern industrial zone of the city, includes offices, warehouse, service shop and a retail outlet for auto accessories, explained from the Dnevnik daily. още »
